Undefeated Cashmere Girls Roll, Boys Add Win in SCAC Sweep of Wapato

The Cashmere Bulldogs tennis program continued its strong spring campaign on Monday with a dominant showing on the road against the Wapato Wolves in SCAC action.

The Cashmere girls remained perfect on the season, sweeping Wapato 5-0 with another commanding performance across the board. Leading the way was Kate Croci at first singles, who controlled her match from start to finish with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Ellie Creiglow added a solid win at second singles, posting scores of 6-4, 6-2.

Cashmere’s depth shined in doubles play, where all three teams secured decisive wins. Hazel Schade and Lucy Ray rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory, while Eliana Thomas and Autumn Todd followed with a 6-0, 6-1 result. The pairing of Ilsa Dronen and Olivia Ray completed the sweep in dominant fashion, not dropping a game in a 6-0, 6-0 performance.

On the boys side, the Bulldogs secured a 4-1 team victory. Wyatt Nelson and Quentin Christensen delivered a key win at first doubles, battling to a 7-5, 6-1 decision. The second doubles team of Lizandro Sanchez and Rafael Rojas added a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory. Cashmere also picked up wins via forfeit in second singles and third doubles to seal the match.

With the win, the Cashmere girls improve to 14-0 overall and 11-0 in SCAC play, while the boys move to 11-2 on the season and 10-1 in league competition.
