The Cashmere Bulldogs tennis program split a non-league matchup with the Chelan Goats on Thursday, as the girls remained unbeaten with a dominant 5-0 sweep while the boys fell 4-1.
The Cashmere girls improved to a perfect 10-0 on the season with another commanding performance across the board. In singles play, Freya Dronen and Kate Croci continued their outstanding seasons, both remaining undefeated with straight-set victories. Dronen secured her win 6-2, 6-3, while Croci earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
The Bulldogs were equally impressive in doubles competition, sweeping all three matches in straight sets. Hazel Schade and Lucy Ray cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win, while Autumn Todd and Eliana Thomas picked up a solid 6-4, 6-2 victory. Gloria Smith and Ellie Crieglow capped off the sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
On the boys side, Cashmere dropped a 4-1 decision to Chelan, bringing their record to 7-2 on the season. Sophomore Albin Eskew provided the victory for the Bulldogs, staying undefeated with a strong 6-2, 6-2 win in first singles.
Cashmere will take next week off for spring break before returning to action on April 13, when they host Wahluke.
