Cashmere High School celebrated the accomplishments of its student-athletes during the 2026 Spring Sports Awards Ceremony on Tuesday evening at Cashmere High School.

Highlighting the evening were the presentations of the school’s highest athletic honors, recognizing outstanding senior athletes for their achievements both in competition and in the classroom.

Tom McDevitt and Quinn Pace were named the recipients of the 2026 Outstanding Senior Athlete Awards. McDevitt received the prestigious Weller-Hawker Award, presented annually to the school’s top senior male athlete, while Pace earned the Susan Gasbar Award, recognizing the top senior female athlete.

The selection process for both awards is based on a comprehensive point system that evaluates an athlete’s entire high school career. Points are awarded for academic achievement, athletic participation, varsity letters earned, state tournament qualifications, leadership roles as team captains, inspirational awards, all-league recognition, and conference player of the year honors.

In addition to the recognition, McDevitt and Pace will each receive a $1,500 scholarship from the Cashmere Booster Club through the Cashmere School Foundation.

The Susan Gasbar Trophy has been awarded annually to Cashmere High School’s Outstanding Senior Female Athlete since 1991. The Weller-Hawker Award carries an even longer tradition, having been presented to the school’s Outstanding Senior Male Athlete since 1947.

The ceremony also recognized student-athletes from each spring sports program with team captain and inspirational awards.
