Eygabroad Named New CHS Girls Basketball Coach

Cashmere High School is proud to announce the hiring of Brandon Eygabroad as the new Head Coach of the CHS Girls Basketball program.

Eygabroad brings a proven track record of success and over 13 years of high school coaching experience to Cashmere, including seven seasons as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Rainier High School and six years as an assistant with the Rainier boys’ program. His leadership helped transform the Rainier girls program, guiding them to six state tournament appearances in seven years, and earning a Central 2B District Championship this past season. He compiled an impressive 121-46 overall record during his head coaching tenure.

When Eygabroad took over the Rainier girls’ program in 2018, the team had just two wins the prior season. Under his leadership, the turnaround was immediate. Rainier qualified for the state tournament in his first year, and the program became known for its toughness, growth, and consistently competitive play.

Eygabroad is widely respected across Washington’s coaching community. He is a two-time Central B League Coach of the Year (2018, 2025) and was selected to coach the WSGBCA 1B/2B All-State team in 2024 — recognitions that speak to both his coaching acumen and the high regard in which his peers hold him.

In addition to his coaching duties, Eygabroad has also been hired to teach accounting and marketing classes at CHS, further contributing to the school community both in the classroom and on the court.

Eygabroad will be taking over for Pat Loftus, who stepped down last month after two successful seasons with the Bulldogs. Loftus led the team to a 36-16 record and back-to-back state tournament appearances, including a 6th place finish at state in 2024.

CHS Athletic Director Jeff Carlson shared his appreciation for both the past and future of the program:“We’re grateful to Coach Loftus for the dedication he brought to our CHS girls’ basketball program over the past two seasons. As we turn the page to a new chapter, we’re excited to welcome Coach Eygabroad and look forward to building on that foundation of success under his leadership.”Carlson added, “Brandon’s energy, leadership, and strong ability to connect with student-athletes make him an excellent fit for our CHS girls basketball program. He is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes who succeed both on and off the court.”
