The Cashmere Bulldogs fastpitch softball team hosted the Chelan Goats in a non-league matchup Thursday afternoon, falling by a final score of 13-6. With the win, Chelan improved to 5-1 on the season.

Cashmere came out swinging early, plating three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early lead. Tryniti Collum and Reylin Boyd each reached base with singles, setting the stage for Macie Zimmerman, who delivered the big hit of the inning with a two-run triple.

Chelan quickly responded, erupting for five runs in the second inning to take control of the game. The Goats never relinquished the lead, adding five more runs in the fifth inning, two in the sixth, and one in the seventh to pull away.

The Goats held a 12-9 advantage in hits over the Bulldogs. Zimmerman led the way offensively for Cashmere, going 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs. Reylin Boyd added a strong performance, finishing 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Collum went 1-for-2 and scored once. Juliana Boyd contributed a 1-for-2 effort with two runs scored.

Kat Hansch went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI, Ella Kenoyer was 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Gwen Ledesma added a double as part of her 1-for-4 outing.

In the circle, Zimmerman pitched five innings, allowing 12 hits while striking out two and not issuing a walk. Juliana Boyd closed out the final two innings, not allowing a hit while walking three and striking out one.
