The Cashmere Bulldogs made a major statement across the South Central Athletic Conference this spring, earning multiple Player of the Year honors, several Coach of the Year awards, and an impressive collection of All-SCAC selections across all sports.
Senior sprinter Isaac Zavala, who was named the 2026 SCAC Boys Track Athlete of the Year after another standout season on the track.Â
On the diamond, senior Tom McDevitt capped a stellar baseball season by being named the 2026 SCAC Baseball Player of the Year while also earning First Team All-Conference honors. McDevitt helped lead a Bulldogs squad that placed four players on the First Team, including sophomores Mac Carlson and Ethan Bessonette, along with senior Rylan Hatmaker.
Cashmere also dominated on the tennis courts, where senior Freya Dronen was named the SCAC Girls Tennis Player of the Year and sophomore Albin Eskew earned Boys Tennis Player of the Year honors. Both players were also selected to the First Team. The Bulldogs added several more all-conference tennis selections, including Lucy Ray, Hazel Schade, Wyatt Nelson, and Quentin Christensen on the First Team, while Kate Croci earned Second Team honors.
The Bulldogs’ success extended to the sidelines as well. Jeff Kenoyer was named SCAC Coach of the Year for both boys and girls track and field after guiding another highly successful season for Cashmere athletes. Manny Flores earned Boys Soccer Coach of the Year honors, and Tasha Key was recognized as Girls Tennis Coach of the Year.
In baseball, Cashmere’s all-conference selections included McDevitt, Carlson, Hatmaker, and Bessonette on the First Team. Jacoby Tait and Jacoby Yousey were named to the Second Team, while Jake Peterson earned Third Team honors.
The Bulldog fastpitch softball team was represented by senior Macie Zimmerman on the First Team. Gwen Ledesma and Reylin Boyd were selected to the Second Team, while Juliana Boyd received Third Team honors.
Cashmere boys soccer also had a strong showing with Ranique Allen, Ivan Gonzalez-Hurtado, and Ethan Theiss earning First Team recognition. Tommy Batanoiu, Cooper Hauck, and Alejandro Serna Rojas were named to the Second Team, while Edgar Reyna and Ian McFadden collected Third Team honors.
In golf, sophomore Brett Rubio and freshman Carly Boyd earned First Team honors. David Odenrider was selected to the Second Team, while Silas Kane, Alyssa Soria, and Maya Cohen received Third Team recognition.
The Bulldogs’ track and field program once again showcased its depth with numerous athletes earning all-conference recognition. Alongside Zavala, Rylan Reiber earned First Team honors in the 1600 meters, Carson Potter in discus, MacKenzie Van Bogart in both the 800 and 1600 meters, Taylor Kunz in the 100 hurdles, and Zane Pace and Quinn Pace in pole vault.
Second Team track honorees included Brynne Patrick (100M, 200M), Caleb Dillin (200M), Kiana Baty (300 hurdles), Thomas Schuringa (pole vault), Makelah Gatens (pole vault), Kaili Landes (high jump), and Taylor Kunz in both long jump and shot put.
Third Team selections included Jackson Binger (400M), Connor Diaz (110 hurdles), Luke Siderius (pole vault), and Avril Guerrero (pole vault).
With conference championships, individual honors, and strong representation across the board, the Bulldogs once again proved themselves to be one of the premier athletic programs in the SCAC during the 2026 spring season.
