Bulldogs Tennis Teams Dominate Wahluke; Girls Stay Perfect, Boys Improve to 8-2

The Cashmere Bulldogs boys and girls tennis teams turned in another strong performance on Monday afternoon, hosting the Wahluke Warriors in a Cascade Conference matchup.

The Cashmere girls continued their dominant season with a 5-0 sweep, improving to a perfect 11-0 overall and 8-0 in conference play. The Bulldogs have been nothing short of flawless this spring, winning all 55 of their varsity matches to date.

Cashmere was led in singles by Freya Dronen, who secured a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the top spot. Kate Croci followed with a solid 6-1, 6-4 win in second singles. The Bulldogs showcased their depth in doubles play, where Lucy Ray and Hazel Schade rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win in first doubles. Autumn Todd and Eliana Thomas matched that effort with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in second doubles, while Olivia Ray and Ellie Creiglow completed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-2 win in third doubles.

On the boys side, Cashmere earned a 4-1 team victory to move to 8-2 overall and 7-1 in conference play. Albin Eskew continued his outstanding season, remaining undefeated with a commanding 6-2, 6-0 win in first singles.

The Bulldogs also picked up a key win in first doubles, where Wyatt Nelson and Quentin Christensen dominated with a 6-0, 6-2 victory. Cashmere added to its team total with forfeits in both second and third doubles.

Cashmere will look to keep its momentum going on Wednesday when the Bulldogs host the Zillah Leopards.
