The Cashmere Bulldogs boys and girls golf teams hit the road Thursday for a non-league matchup against Chelan at Lake Chelan Municipal Golf Course, with the host Goats coming away with victories on both sides.
The Cashmere boys posted a team score of 480, led by junior David Odenrider, who carded an 89 to pace the Bulldogs. Sophomore Silas Kane followed closely with a 90, while sophomore Brett Rubio added a 93. Senior Logan Spies rounded out the scoring with a 108.
Chelan secured the win with an impressive team score of 358, powered by senior Carson Clinton. The standout golfer, who won the 1A state championship as a freshman in 2023, earned medalist honors with a round of 75.
On the girls side, Chelan also came out on top, defeating Cashmere 430-486. The Bulldogs were led by freshman Carly Boyd, who shot a 114. Fellow freshman Maya Cohen finished just one stroke back with a 115, while Teagan Kerns recorded a 127 and Rachel Moses added a 130 to complete the team scoring.
Cashmere will look to bounce back quickly, as the boys return to action Monday at the Wenatchee Invitational, held at Three Lakes Golf Course.
