1A State Quarterfinals – Saturday, Nov. 22 | Wenatchee Apple Bowl | 2:00 PM Kickoff
The Cashmere Bulldogs return to the field this weekend with their sights set on a trip to the state semifinals. At 9-1 and carrying the No. 2 seed in the 1A State Football Playoffs, Cashmere enters Saturday’s quarterfinal matchup rested and ready after earning a first-round bye.
Awaiting them is one of the most dangerous individual playmakers in the state.
Life Christian Riding Momentum
The No. 10–seeded Life Christian Eagles (7-4) arrive in Wenatchee following a statement win in last week’s opening round. The Eagles traveled to Bellingham and dominated No. 7-seeded Nooksack Valley, pulling away for a 35–7 victory.
The star of the night—and the season—was senior quarterback Jabez Boyd, widely considered one of Washington’s most dynamic athletes. Boyd delivered a performance for the record books, completing 35 of 42 passes for a career-high 504 yards and five touchdowns, while also adding an interception on defense. His dual-threat ability will be the centerpiece of Cashmere’s defensive game plan.
Bulldogs Aiming to Defend Their Seed
Cashmere’s balanced offense and disciplined defense have been the foundation of its strong season. With fresh legs after last week’s bye, the Bulldogs will look to control the tempo, contain Boyd, and capitalize on playing close to home at the Apple Bowl.
Saturday’s matchup features one of the state’s most complete teams against one of its most electric individual talents—setting the stage for a compelling quarterfinal showdown.
