Two of the top teams in Washington’s 1A classification collide under the lights this Friday as the Cashmere Bulldogs (4-0) travel to Royal City to face the Royal Knights (4-0) at David Nielsen Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. in what promises to be one of the biggest showdowns of the regular season.
Both squads enter the matchup undefeated and largely untested—but that’s about to change.
Clash of Perfection
The Bulldogs have been nothing short of dominant through the first four weeks, outscoring opponents by a staggering 251-0 margin. Cashmere’s explosive offense and smothering defense have overwhelmed every team in their path. But they’ll face their toughest test yet in Royal, a program that has defined excellence in Washington high school football for over a decade.
The Royal Knights, defending state champions, have captured eight of the last nine 1A state titles, and they look poised to make another deep postseason run. They’ve given up just one touchdown all season, and their championship pedigree, discipline, and tradition of winning make them a formidable opponent—especially at home.
