Cashmere High School sophomore Henry Mott delivered a standout performance at the 2A/4A District 5 Diving Championships on Thursday in Moses Lake.

Competing in the 1-meter diving event, Mott recorded a score of 214.85, earning a berth to the 2A State Diving Meet. His score was the top mark among all 2A competitors, crowning him the District 5 Champion. The performance also marked a season-best for the Cashmere diver.

With the district title secured, Mott will now represent the Cashmere Bulldogs at the 2A State Diving Championships, scheduled for February 20–21 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
