Cashmere (16-2, No. 6 WIAA 1A RPI) will host a highly anticipated district semifinal on Saturday, where they will face off against the Cascade Kodiaks (12-3, No. 9 RPI). The match is set for 1:30 p.m. at Cashmere Soccer Field.

This district semifinal marks the first meeting between these long-standing rivals in two years, since Cashmere’s move to the South Central Athletic Conference. Both teams are no strangers to the postseason, and Saturday’s winner will advance to the District 5 Championship in Royal City on November 8 with a coveted berth to the 1A State Tournament on the line. The loser will be relegated to a play-in game on Tuesday against the winner of the Zillah vs. Omak matchup.
