The Cashmere Bulldogs put together a dominant performance Saturday night, defeating the Omak Pioneers 70–35 in a non-conference matchup at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee. The game was part of the NCW Classic, which featured a full slate of games throughout the day.
Cashmere set the tone from the opening tip, knocking down six three-pointers in the first quarter and jumping out to a commanding 24–7 lead after one period. The Bulldogs continued to control the pace on both ends of the floor in the second quarter and took a 39–21 advantage into halftime. Cashmere never let up in the second half, cruising to the 35-point victory to improve to 6–5 on the season.
Senior Tom McDevitt and sophomore Mac Carlson fueled the early surge, each connecting on three three-pointers in the opening quarter to quickly put the game out of reach. McDevitt finished with 14 points while adding four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Carlson matched him with 14 points and contributed five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Senior Tobie Larson turned in an all-around performance, scoring 13 points and pulling down a team-high nine rebounds to go along with three assists and two steals. Junior Colton Stendera added 12 points and two assists, providing a steady offensive presence throughout the night.
Cashmere also received solid contributions from its underclassmen. Sophomore Jackson Binger finished with five points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Sophomore Jack Baker chipped in four points and two steals, while sophomore Elijah Davidson added four points and two rebounds.
With balanced scoring, sharp perimeter shooting, and strong defensive pressure, the Bulldogs controlled every aspect of the game from start to finish.
Next up: Cashmere will travel to Zillah on Tuesday for a tough road test against the No. 1-ranked Zillah Leopards.
